About the Position:
The Product Growth Strategy team is part of Salesforce’s Product organization, and partners with Product Management executives to drive business growth, Go-To-Market execution, strategic planning, business analysis, and growth across our product portfolio. The Manager role is a hybrid of traditional roles in strategic planning, sales strategy, finance, and analytics – requiring a mix of market & business analysis, sales optimization, and business operational support. This analyst will work on a variety of global projects across functions and customer segments across multiple Product Clouds.


This individual in this role will take responsibility for driving the continued success of Salesforce by supporting product growth for our Platform and Integration Clouds portfolio of products. They will work on a variety of global projects across functions and customer segments, including the launch and nurture of our newest innovations. Sample strategic projects include developing recommendations on go-to-market strategy, customer segmentation, sales coverage, and investment prioritization. Operationally, the focus will be on forecasting, market sizing, growth trend analysis, sales pipeline analysis, business performance tracking, and formulation of actionable recommendations based on these. This person must feel comfortable interacting with senior management on a regular basis.


Deliverables include detailed analytic models, custom performance analysis, building a scalable reporting infrastructure, and packaging findings into presentation-ready content for Salesforce executives. The role requires interaction with multiple functional teams in the organization (such as Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Success) and provides exposure to senior executives. The successful candidate will have relentless curiosity and possess a passion for creating innovative analysis to identify opportunities. They will be comfortable diving into large datasets, excel at extracting insights from data, and converting ideas to action.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product executives on day-to-day operations, strategic planning, GTM execution and other key projects. Manage executive stakeholders and enable timely decision-making. Drive complex programs with effective use of both async comms and live meetings.

  • Become the subject matter expert across the Cloud portfolio, performing thorough data analysis to support and progress key business decisions. Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative data analysis.Lead ongoing analysis of business performance to support daily operations

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics. Deliver insights & recommendations

  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior executives, crafting the messages for sales and product leadership

  • Support strategic initiatives including evaluating areas of opportunity for the businesses

  • Troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems/ processes to fix root causes

  • Prepare analysis and recommendations for strategic decision making


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years work experience focused on quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and logical reasoning

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

  • Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions

  • High degree of comfort running complex analyses and modeling in Excel or Google Sheets

  • Strong presentation skills, especially related to building compelling PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations

  • Work experience in management consulting, finance, product management, sales strategy, or sales operations is a plus

  • Experience aggregating large datasets using SQL, Python, and / or Tableau required
