Shindig is a wholesale reinvention of video chat for large scale, participatory gatherings. On Shindig, all participants can see and are seen in a shared online space. Featured presenters can give a talk, be interviewed, share multimedia, teach, and more to a live online audience of thousands. Selected audience members can be brought up to share the stage and directly interact with hosts, "face-to-face"​, before the entire group. Meanwhile, audience members also, all see one another and can mingle, network, confer, discuss or otherwise share in self-initiated private video chat just as they might converse in small groups at an in-person event. Shindig, its the dynamics of in-person events at internet scale. Already embraced for online events by pioneers such as notable individuals and institutions as Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Gates, Guy Kawasaki, General Assembly, TED and others, Shindig is leading the next generation of online engagement. Current clients include such institutions as Fidelity Investments, USA Today, Harvard Graduate School of Education, University of Phoenix, Arizona State University, and the NYC Department of Education. Company founder and CEO Steve Gottlieb is a serial entrepreneur and longtime angel tech investor. His past career highlights include founding and leading TVT Records, long the largest US independent label. TVT was original home to Nine Inch Nails, Ja Rule, Lil Jon, and Pitbull, among others, and earned during its 25-year run 30 Gold, Platinum, and Multi-platinum releases. Shindig has already closed on $12 million in financing. Shindig was awarded 2017 Cool Vendor Award in Social Collaboration by premier research firm, Gartner. Shindig has been funded by a $20 million dollar investment from Pritzker Vlock Family Office to date.
