As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Own systems that automate repetitive work across hundreds of browser and desktop platforms, handling concurrency, reliability, and observability at scale

• Collaborate with our CTO and ML research partners to bring state-of-the-art agentic workflows into production

• Architect and scale backend infrastructure to power our visual workflow builder – a Figma-style interface used daily by non-technical ops teams

• Design and implement services that integrate with cutting-edge AI models to generate workflows, parse documents, and drive adaptive execution logic

• Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance in production environments

What We’re Looking For

• Fluency in Typescript and Python (both required)

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (designing, deploying, and scaling production services)

• 4+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems at enterprise scale (the more battle scars, the better)

• Prior experience at an early-stage startup

• Proven ability to collaborate with engineers and PMs to break down high-level goals into shippable milestones

• Must be available in NYC (we’ll cover relocation)

• Nice to have: prior experience with distributed workflow orchestration such as Cadence or Temporal.io
