Join Us in Building the Future of Digital Work
At Sola, we’re transforming the way work is done. We’re developing AI agents that make powerful automation effortless, enabling any user to record a workflow and instantly scale it up to millions of executions.
Sola today powers enterprise workflows in Fortune 100 companies, with a horizontal platform that works across healthcare, finance, legal, logistics, and more. We’ve raised $21M in funding from a16z, Conviction (Sarah Guo), and Y Combinator, and are looking for passionate engineers to help us continue to scale.
If you’re interested in being on the forefront of agentic automation, we’d love to hear from you!
What to expect
We're solving one of the most interesting problems in AI today: making AI agents work reliably inside the complex, unpredictable infrastructure of real enterprises. As a senior FDE, you'll own the technical side of that: getting Sola's agents connected to internal systems, across every customer's unique network and security constraints.
This isn't a customer success or sales engineering role. You'll write production code, build integrations, and land PRs directly in the core product. You'll be customer-facing, but you're there as the engineer: unblocking hard problems and making commitments you can keep.
Join a small, tight-knit team at our HQ in NYC. We believe the best work happens in person, especially at the early stage, and you'll work directly with the founders to help shape the future of the company.
What you'll do
Ship real features and integrations for customers, contributing directly to the core codebase
Own technical customer deployments: network access, secure infrastructure, and connecting Sola agents to internal systems
Be the technical point of contact for customers, unblocking hard problems and keeping deployments healthy
What we're looking for
3+ years of software engineering experience; you've shipped production code in real systems and you own what you build
Meaningful experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity - not support or sales, but as the engineer responsible for making things work
Comfortable operating without a playbook: every enterprise environment is different, and you're energized by figuring it out rather than waiting for a spec
Based in NYC or excited to relocate (we'll cover it); this is a 5-day in-office role
You might excel if
You've navigated gnarly enterprise infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, zero-trust, legacy auth) and know how to get systems talking under constraints
You've done customer deployments before and know the organizational and technical landmines: building trust with IT security, managing stakeholder expectations, keeping complex rollouts on track
You have direct experience with some or all of our stack: TypeScript, Python, Temporal, Postgres, Kubernetes, Tailscale
You communicate as well as you code: customers trust you, and you can translate technical reality into something executives understand
