Spotify is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Music Promotion organization. You will help support our mission to give a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their work. In Music Promotion, we build consumer-facing products that provide creators new avenues for promoting their work, reaching new audiences, and deepening connections with fans. We create features like Marquee and Showcase for artists looking to promote their new music releases or catalog. Our team works in both the consumer Spotify mobile clients as well as our Spotify for Artists platform. As a result, engineers in our organization are exposed to a broad set of Spotify features and services.
What You'll Do
- Be a technical leader within the cross-functional team you work with and across Spotify in general
- Coordinate technical projects across multiple teams within Spotify
- Facilitate collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers to solve exciting and challenging problems for delivering value to artists and fans
- Work in an environment that supports your individual growth by providing you with challenging problems to take on and the freedom to acquire new skills in hack time, guilds, lectures and a variety of internal training courses
- Deliver testable, maintainable and high-quality code and take operational responsibility for the components that you develop
- Work closely with a diverse team to apply experimental thinking as we build new features for our users
- Author and circulate technical RFCs to document approaches
- Share your knowledge, promote best practices, and collaborate with some of the best web engineers in the company
Who You Are
- You have at least 4+ years of professional experience working with modern web technologies such as Javascript, React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Passionate about delivering end-to-end experiences and care about software architecture across the frontend, backend, and the APIs that glue them together
- Experienced in backend development (preferably Java) and managing system uptime and reliability
- A technical leader who’s capable of leading a team through sophisticated Discovery and Delivery phases
- Experience in ad tech is a plus - ideally working on business management, campaign booking and management, pixels and measurement
- You have expert communication and collaboration skills and go above and beyond to ensure alignment across subject areas
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
- Value having fun, staying positive, and learning new things, and enjoy working closely together with your product team to bring value to your customers

The United States base range for this position is $156,275-$223,250, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance. These ranges may be modified in the future.
