As part of the Podcaster Brand Marketing team you will play a key role on helping the team achieve its mission to empower creators to thrive and grow on the Spotify ecosystem by raising creator sentiment, awareness and consideration around our powerful creator tools, providing creators with valuable resources and guidance on how to find, reach and grow their audience by making the most of our products, and inspiring them to nurture their creativity and redefine the way we share stories with the world.

The team is looking for someone with a passion for social media, podcasting and the wider creator economy to lead our social channels. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to improve brand and product awareness, engage our target audience, build reports and critical metrics, and drive traffic to our digital platforms, content, and programs. This role requires a creative and analytical individual who can optimally lead multiple social media channels and campaigns, report on results and identify and execute on growth areas.
What You'll Do
- Develop a social media strategy that supports our primary goal of becoming an always-on source of valuable content to help podcasters make the most of the Spotify ecosystem, while growing engagement across our social handles. This strategy should help us expand the reach of our socials to the accurate target audience.
- Ideation and posting content on a regular basis, collaborating really closely with other teams such as Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Creative team members to amplify relevant content, campaigns, and programs through our social channels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry & social trends, participating in social listening and crafting engaging content based on what’s buzzing.
- Stay current on platform standard processes and educate those learnings to internal teams to guide creative development.
- Analyze weekly performance of organic pages and develop monthly and quarterly reports.
- Monitor competitor social channels and report on their growth/areas of weakness.
- Monitor and engage with our passionate community of creators, encouraging positive relationships with followers, influencers, and brand advocates.
- Work closely with the customer support team to ensure consistent messaging across channels, monitor online conversations and help them address any critical issues or concerns that arise.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience running Twitter and Instagram.
- You’re analytical and productive, being able to turn data into action, with a proven track record of defining and refining content strategies based on performance insights.
- You have experience with social listening tools and creating social reports for collaborators.
- You have boosted posts and run some paid media campaigns and understand facebook business manager.
- You have an extraordinary sense of humor and love for writing.
- An avid podcaster or someone with experience on the podcast industry or creator economy.
- You possess limitless creativity, an obsession with social media, and a keen eye for detail.
- You are an effective trend tracker and keep up with all the major news and updates in the digital and consumer media space.
- You are organized, detailed, and a true teammate.
- It's a plus if you have social paid media experience.
Where You'll Be
- For this role there will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the New York City office 1 time per week.

The United States base range for this position is $104,632 - $149,474, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
