Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer

Sprinklr is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to deliver robust Analytic and Reporting solutions to the business in PowerBI. In this role, you should have an advanced background in data, data modeling, and complex reporting features such as time-travel. You are highly analytical, have a thirst for understanding the business, and are an excellent communicator, along with a possessing a strong business acumen and problem-solving aptitude.

This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to an Enterprise BI function within our internal organization, and work closely with business leaders, upholding a relationship as a trusted partner. The analytics and reporting span nearly all aspects of the business, from Sales to Finance to HR, providing a comprehensive scope of work.

In this role, we are looking for someone who can develop highly advanced reporting and analytic dashboards in PowerBI that use enterprise data sources pulled from Snowflake. Specifically, this individual will:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to take in business ask(s), ensure shared understanding of the context for the ask(s), and translate them to technical and reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with internal data engineering, architectural and data science colleagues to build out data frameworks to support reporting needs.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions. The reports will be using very complex datasets, calculations, and offer robust features for the user to drive further insights.

  • Ensure that best practices in back-end reporting infrastructures and front-end reporting visualizations are infused throughout their work.

  • Maintain a close eye on performance and functionality, and employ the proper processes to ensure data validation and integrity are core to all published reports.

  • Employ advanced security approaches for accessing data sources and reporting.

  • Troubleshoot any issues that come in with respect to Power BI reporting or contributing underlying data.

  • Maintain technical documentation for all analytic reporting.

  • Provide input on the best or preferred approaches to providing access to reports.

  • Develop and deliver actionable insights to leaders on state-of-the-state and opportunities for improvement and efficiencies

Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence capabilities within the organization to help us make better decisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Extensive experience (5-7 years) in developing, maintaining and managing dashboards in PowerBI, along with knowledge of administration/architecture.

  • Experience with cloud-based architectures, such as AWS and Snowflake, is a huge plus.

  • Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools.

  • Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

Compensation Range

$134,000 - $178,000 - $223,000

The base salary range for this role at minimum, midpoint and maximum is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge, skills to our internal peers in the role. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s discretionary bonus plan, commission plan and/or equity plan, depending on role.

US-based Sprinklr employees are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ health, well-being, and financial protection.
