We are looking for an experienced, high-energy, high-impact Manager, International Income Tax to support the company’s global income tax function and continued international growth. The role will touch various aspects of international taxation, including tax compliance and reporting, tax provision, transfer pricing, tax planning, and general tax operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Income Tax, the Manager, International Income Tax will play a key role in building and scaling a world-class global tax function.
The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. It is essential that the candidate have strong technical tax knowledge, communication, organization, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and across the Tax, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and broader business functions.
This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and support the global income tax compliance process, including the international aspects of U.S. tax compliance and foreign income tax filings, working with external service providers and local advisors as needed.
- Manage the preparation and review of U.S. international tax calculations and filings, including Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118 and related calculations for GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, and other applicable international tax provisions.
- Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process under ASC 740, with a focus on international tax matters, including foreign tax provisions, deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and related tax disclosures.
- Coordinate with foreign subsidiaries, local finance teams, and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of local-country income tax compliance, tax payments, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with the Intercompany Accounting team to support the company's transfer pricing processes, including intercompany agreements, transfer pricing calculations, documentation, and monitoring of intercompany arrangements.
- Support the company's global tax planning initiatives, including legal entity structuring, cash repatriation, foreign tax credit optimization, and the tax implications of new products, markets, and business initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze developments in U.S. and international tax law, including changes affecting the taxation of multinational businesses, and assess their potential impact on the company.
- Support the company's response to evolving global tax initiatives and reporting requirements, including OECD initiatives and other international tax developments, as applicable.
- Provide support for U.S. and foreign income tax audits, including coordinating information requests and preparing responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Support and implement continuous process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across international tax processes, including identifying opportunities to leverage technology and automation.
- Ensure international income tax processes and internal controls are appropriately documented and operated in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury, FinTech, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate the tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and service providers, including coordinating deliverables, timelines, and projects.
- Assist with special projects, including international expansion, M&A and restructuring activities, tax modeling, and other strategic tax initiatives, as required.
What You've Done:
- 6+ years of related international income tax experience, including experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or a multinational company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- Strong foundation in U.S. international tax concepts and compliance, including experience with Subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, and related international information reporting.
- Experience with ASC 740 and the international components of a multinational company's quarterly and annual income tax provision.
- Experience with global income tax compliance and working with foreign subsidiaries, local-country advisors, and external service providers.
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing principles and experience with intercompany transactions, transfer pricing calculations, and/or documentation.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax rules, evaluate their application to the business, and clearly communicate conclusions to tax and non-tax stakeholders.
- Experience with NetSuite and tax provision/compliance software is a plus.
- A self-leading mentality, embracing new technology and actively seeking opportunities to automate existing processes, strengthen controls, and gain efficiencies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
