Company Overview:
Billions of dollars move through foundations in the United States every year. At Temelio, we're building the intelligence layer for philanthropy: software that helps foundations understand where their dollars are going, build stronger relationships with grantees, and move funds efficiently. Our platform combines data and thoughtful design to make the entire grants management lifecycle simpler and smarter.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As the first sales hire, you will be responsible for building and managing our customer base, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-lasting relationships with clients. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new customers, but you will also have the opportunity to shape our sales strategies, contribute to product development, and help shape the company's overall direction.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Identify and target potential customers, including nonprofit organizations, foundations, and government agencies that conduct grantmaking.
2. Customer Acquisition:
- Engage with prospects and build strong relationships to understand their grant management challenges.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of our grants management system.
- Collaborate with the product team to gather customer feedback and communicate feature requests and/or improvements.
- Develop and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements in collaboration with the executive team.
3. Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Attend relevant industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to promote our grants management system and establish strategic partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in grants management to provide thought leadership and valuable insights to clients.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the founding team to refine sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop compelling sales collateral, marketing campaigns, and product messaging.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of full cycle sales experience with a proven track record of success, preferably in nonprofit B2B software or technology sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve with key stakeholders at all levels, from executives to end-users.
- Self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
- Understanding of the grants management ecosystem, including nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies is a plus.
Compensation range: $130,000-$160,000 OTE based on experience and fit
This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup and make a significant impact on its growth trajectory. If you are passionate about revolutionizing the nonprofit industry, driving sales, and building client relationships, we would love to hear from you.
