About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Lead for Talent Admissions who will play a critical role in building and managing our talent network. This role will be responsible for surfacing, vetting, and staffing top-tier technical talent on customer engagements, ensuring the right fit for both our clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Admissions & Technical Vetting:
    • Design and implement robust technical assessment frameworks to evaluate candidates' skills and expertise
    • Conduct in-depth technical interviews to validate candidates' capabilities and experience
    • Continuously refine the vetting process, tools, and cadence to maintain high quality standards across our talent network
  • Talent Matching & Staffing:
    • Collaborate with delivery teams to understand project requirements and identify the right technical profiles
    • Surface appropriate candidates from our network based on technical skills, experience, and client needs
    • Validate technical fit and ensure successful staffing decisions for customer engagements
    • Stay up to date with the Tribe codebase and participating in PR reviews whenever necessary

  • Relationship Building & Performance Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with talent in our network
    • Provide constructive performance feedback to team members throughout engagements
    • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and mentor to talent in our network
    • Support talent growth and development through regular check-ins and guidance
    • Proactively solicit feedback from talent to improve operations and the overall tribe experience
  • Process Automation & Optimization:
    • Drive automation initiatives to streamline talent sourcing, vetting, and staffing processes
    • Develop and implement tools and systems to improve efficiency in talent management
    • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in our talent operations

About You:

  • Required Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership roles
    • Strong technical background with recent hands-on experience in software development
    • Background in AI/ML engineering or related technical fields
    • Experience in building LLM-based agentic systems
    • Experience in technical interviewing and candidate assessment
    • Track record of building and managing high-performing technical teams
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in consulting or professional services environments
    • Familiarity with talent operations
    • Experience with process automation and tool development
    • We’re a remote-first company, but extra points if you’re based in the Bay Area or NYC as we have a large presence in both cities
