The Poo-sition Overview

As an experienced Industrial Designer, you will partner with our Product Development team on a contract basis. In this role, you will act as our aesthetic anchor, handling high-fidelity renderings, design revisions, and new concept generation as needed. This is a high-impact engagement for a seasoned designer who can jump in, execute top-tier visuals, and iterate quickly to keep our projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapid Iteration: Handle ongoing design revisions and surface modeling updates to support product development.
• Visual Assets: Produce high-fidelity, photorealistic renderings for internal stakeholder reviews.
• Engineering Support: Take rough engineering designs and refine them into TUSHY’s aesthetic, allowing engineers to stay focused on technical problem solving.
• Concept Generation: Lead the industrial design for upcoming major product launches
• Ergonomics & Form: Ensure new products meet our rigorous standards for human-centered design and bathroom ergonomics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Design
• A strong portfolio demonstrating mass-manufactured consumer products with a focus on plastic injection molding and surfacing
• Expert proficiency in Solidworks and Rendering (Keyshot, Blender, etc.)
• You understand how things are made. You can design beautiful forms that respect real world constraints.
• You are a pro. You don’t need hand-holding; you need a brief, a deadline, and a CAD file.
• Ability to travel to our office for design and prototype reviews with the TUSHY team.
• Strong presentation skills in order to effectively communicate your designs to necessary stakeholders.
• Strong ability to make poop puns at all the right times in all the right places.

At TUSHY, we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The hourly compensation for this poo-sition is $60-100/hr USD.
