Poo-sition Overview:
TUSHY is looking for an experienced creative to lead a small but mighty team of designers and help shape the company’s brand vision, visual identity, and customer experience across web, campaign, and product. You thrive in a creative and customer-obsessed workplace and bring an exceptional eye for visual storytelling, concept development, and UX-focused design. You’re as excited by refining a product page as you are crafting a viral ad campaign—and you’re ready to elevate and evolve a beloved cult brand as we scale.
You’ll be a key creative thought partner to our Chief Creative Officer and Brand lead, ensuring all creative work ladders up to our business goals and brand strategy.
This position is currently hybrid, with the expectation to be present at least 3 days a week in our Dumbo, Brooklyn (NY) office.
What You’ll Doo:
- Champion bold ideas that challenge norms—without ever sacrificing clarity, function, or brand integrity.
- Serve as a creative liaison between TUSHY’s CCO and the design team, translating high-level brand vision into actionable design strategies and day-to-day direction.
- Define and execute creative strategy across campaigns, web, email, ads, and packaging—balancing originality, usability, and business performance.
- Oversee design across TUSHY’s website (UX/UI), paid media, lifecycle marketing, social assets, and product/lifestyle shoots.
- Inspire and manage the creative team—mentoring their craft, prioritizing their workload, and helping them grow.
- Develop and refine creative processes in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure efficiency and speed to market.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Brand, Growth, Product, CX, and Ops) to ensure visual consistency and effectiveness across all consumer touchpoints.
- Continuously monitor design trends, tools, and cultural movements to push the brand forward and keep our work fresh and relevant.
- Partner with copywriters to concept and execute cohesive, insight-driven campaigns that marry compelling storytelling with smart design.
- Collaborate with creative producers to plan, execute, and deliver high-quality photo and video shoots—ensuring visual direction, shot lists, and brand standards are aligned.
- Manage and guide external creative partners (freelancers, agencies, illustrators, motion designers) to maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of design experience, with 3+ years leading a design or creative team at a consumer lifestyle brand and 3+ years at a top creative agency.
- Deep understanding of ecommerce UX/UI, digital storytelling, and performance marketing creative.
- Proven track record of developing brand systems and creative campaigns that drive growth and build brand love.
- Mastery of design software and tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you can clearly present your thinking to stakeholders and listen well in return.
- A thoughtful people leader with a collaborative spirit, clear expectations, and high standards for both output and team culture.
- Comfortable operating in an environment with evolving priorities, rapid launches, and bold bets.
- Passion for poop jokes is encouraged but not required (okay, actually—required).

At TUSHY, we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The annual base salary for this poo-sition is $110,000 - $140,000 USD. We note that salary information as a general guideline only, as actual compensation may vary based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training and business considerations.
