About the Role
The NYC team is looking for a Senior Manager of Account Managers of our Key SMB Accounts.
In this role, the candidate will manage a team of Key Account Managers who are responsible for growing Mid Market merchants in NYC.
The role offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the organization, working cross-functionally with our sales and operations teams - ultimately responsible for making commercial decisions to help us achieve our goal of growing our market share.
This person will own the results of the Key Accounts segment in NYC and will interact with Sales teams to identify and keep a good funnel for selection to come.
This position is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees in the office Tuesday–Thursday.
What You'll Do
Lead a team of Account Managers responsible for driving merchant revenue and value on Uber Eats through deepening our partnerships, leveraging Uber Eats tools such as marketing and product adoption, as well as new and innovative initiatives.
You will guide and coach your team in the following areas:
- Book of Business (BoB) Management.
- Upselling marketing portfolio.
- Drive Incremental Portfolio growth and investment overtime
- Increase Membership Penetration.
- Client Facing Time & Deliverables (Business Reviews)
As a business leader in NYC you will
- Work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, Operations & Analytics teams to improve the Restaurant partner’s experience and achieve revenue targets.
- Localizing Strategy – Work with the leadership team across the Eats org to devise and execute the overall strategy for retaining and growing our SMB restaurant partner base
- Engage with the top NYC based merchants and build successful relationships with key partners
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience within Account Management or Sales
- Previous Management/Team Lead Experience for at least 1 year, or a track record of high performance and a readiness to step into leadership
- Previous experience on Client Facing Roles or leading teams with client facing roles
- Previous Stakeholder Management Experience in a matrixed organization
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive track record of seller/Account Management coaching, developing people and building high-performing teams.
- Experience being a leader among peers, influencing cross-functional partners and setting an example for others.
- Proficiency in using data analysis to inform strategic decision-making and generate practical recommendations.
- Proven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, passion for building things, working towards a shared goal, and ownership of outcomes.
- Experience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid-growth environment.
- Excellent at building and auditing Account Management processes along with analyzing and articulating problems and opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$144,000 per year - USD$160,000 per year.
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, sales bonuses & other types of comp.
