Strategic Finance, Sr Associate - US&C Mobility
Accounting & Finance
USD 131k-145k / year + Equity
About the Role
Compensation is one of Uber's largest expense pools. As a Senior Associate on the Corporate Finance team, you will own the planning, forecasting, and analysis for total compensation across Uber's global employee workforce. Sitting between Finance and the People organization, you will partner with Compensation, Equity, Benefits, and People teams to pressure-test the assumptions behind our compensation cost base, and translate them into the consolidated forecast leadership uses to manage the P&L, margin, and profitability commitments.
What the candidate will do
- Own the compensation and SBC forecast — Build and maintain the consolidated forecast for compensation and benefits across annual, quarterly, and monthly cycles, translating headcount plans into fully loaded cost by function and geography. Maintain the SBC amortization model and support the GAAP-to-Adjusted-EBITDA bridge and guidance inputs. Partner with Accounting on close, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Own share count and dilution analysis — Maintain the diluted share count forecast and quantify the dilutive impact of compensation decision. Model repurchase and net dilution effects, support the diluted EPS and free cash flow bridges, and build scenarios on burn rate and overhang with Accounting, Treasury, and IR.
- Partner with the People organization — Serve as the Finance counterpart to Compensation, Equity, Benefits, and People Analytics, bringing a P&L lens before decisions are finalized. Price the annual compensation cycle — merit, promotion, and refresh pools, market adjustments — and evaluate benefits, location, and banding changes. Establish a reconciled view of headcount and comp data across People and Finance systems.
- Support leadership and improve the process — Feed assumptions into the consolidated forecast, long-range plan, and profitability targets, and build scenario analyses on trade-offs across headcount, comp mix, and cash vs. equity. Prepare decision-ready materials for executive reviews, track deliverables, and drive automation and documentation of core processes.
