Position Overview:

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for delivery of infrastructure services to all HealthEdge customers and internal departments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure that runs applications which demand extremely high performance. This individual has a broad skill set, attention to detail and a curious attitude – the ability and desire to learn brand new technologies and adapt current skills constantly is critical to success in this role.

The Product:

With HealthRules Payer, our integrated solutions suite includes the industry's leading, digital, next-generation claims administration processing system, business intelligence, integration capabilities, a unique to industry configuration and promotion application, and home and host processing support available on both public and private clouds. Your Impact:

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge and developing expertise in technologies
  • Successfully executes all assignments timely and within acceptable quality levels
  • Asks for help and works collaboratively with team members when issues present themselves; does not settle for not knowing the outcome or resolution steps for important issues
  • Effective communicator / documenter – documents process and trains team members with ease. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, and provide support when required.
  • Identifies knowledge gaps and closes them; demonstrates consistent intellectual curiously and drive to learn more and self-develop himself/herself
  • Perform all job functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII
  • Triage operating system, and third-party applications. Working with other operations teams to support our customer base.
  • Help maintain large server environment of Windows servers, as well as help support Linux administrators with Linux servers.
  • Be apart of the on-call rotation, and support environment after hours during rotation.

What you bring:

  • Virtualization: VMware vSphere administration, architecting, and troubleshooting (Working Knowledge)
  • Working knowledge of the VMware Cloud Management Suite of products (VMware Aria/vRealize)
  • Experience working in a highly available datacenter or colocation facility
  • Working knowledge of Linux. Ability to add storage to a Linux virtual machine. Knowledge of basic Linux commands and using SSH shell. CentOS, Red Hat 8
  • Experience managing Microsoft enterprise infrastructure including RDS, Active Directory, AD forests, AD Trusts, Azure Entra, DNS, group policy, trusts, and Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019.
  • 5+ Years of experience
  • Strong analytical and deep-dive problem solving skills across multiple disciplines. (HW, OS, Network, etc.)
  • Diagnose and repair system problems working closely with operations teams and vendor support.
  • Ability to identify areas that require monitoring, and willing to suggest new monitoring if required. Help improve our process and identify any gaps in our process to improve our ability to support internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with industry standard tools to troubleshoot.
  • Provide support to applications teams both during the business day and after hours for customer application upgrades.
  • Create and maintain documentation to assist with cross training and knowledge transfer. Ability create and maintain environment diagrams.
  • Knowledge of standard ticketing systems. Ability to work through standard ticketing systems.
  • Deploying and managing a suite of third-party applications used in the environment.
  • Experiencing conducting POCs, negotiating and recommending infrastructure purchases
  • Automation expertise with tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Python, Tanium
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks, controls, and concepts including HITRUST, ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-53 rev 4., and/or HIPAA/HITECH
