Description

The Chief of Staff will be the right hand to the founders and a key force-multiplier for the entire Veris team. You’ll help us run the company, tell our story, and keep the trains running on time while we build the simulation platform that powers the next generation of autonomous AI agents.

The role

You will work across product, go-to-market, operations, and fundraising to make Veris faster, sharper, and more effective. As an extension of the founders, you’ll jump between strategic projects and on-the-ground execution: one day preparing materials for an enterprise sales meeting, the next designing our operating cadence, the next representing Veris at an AI conference.

You’ll have a front-row seat (and real ownership) as we scale and define the operating system for how we build and deploy AI agents with the world’s leading enterprises.

What you will do

  • Act as a force multiplier for the founders
    • Prioritize and drive the most important company initiatives across product, GTM, hiring, and fundraising.
    • Prepare briefs, agendas, and follow-ups so leadership time is spent on the highest-impact work.
  • Represent Veris externally
    • Join founders at sales, partner, and investor meetings, helping run the room, take notes, and drive next steps.
    • Represent Veris at events, conferences, and community gatherings, talking about our vision, collecting market feedback, and expanding our network.
    • Help craft and refine external narratives: decks, one-pagers, conference talks, and thought-leadership content.
  • Run the office and internal operations
    • Own the NYC office: space, supplies, access, events, and making it a place people love to work.
    • Coordinate offsites, customer visits, and team events (dinners, workshops, hack days).
    • Keep our internal systems humming: Notion, Slack, documentation, onboarding checklists, and process hygiene.
  • Drive execution on special projects
    • Spin up and run cross-functional projects: new GTM experiments, pilot programs, product launches, or internal tooling.
    • Bring structure to ambiguity: define goals, timelines, owners, and checkpoints – then keep everyone on track.
    • Jump into whatever is breaking or blocking us: recruiting loops, process gaps, or urgent customer asks.
  • Build the operating system of Veris
    • Help design our cadence: weekly exec meetings, all-hands, OKRs, and performance metrics.
    • Codify how we work into clear, lightweight processes that scale without becoming bureaucratic.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (early-stage startups, consulting, banking, operations, product, or similar).
  • Experience working directly with founders, executives, or senior leadership on strategic and operational problems.
  • High ownership and bias to action: you see problems, define them, and drive them to done without waiting for instructions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching: you can move from a strategic discussion with investors to fixing an operational issue in the same afternoon.
  • Strong organizational skills: you enjoy building systems and processes that help others do their best work.

Nice to have

  • Experience in AI software.
  • Prior Chief of Staff, BizOps, Product Ops, or Strategy experience.
  • Experience organizing events or communities (meetups, conferences, dinners, or founder/engineering communities).
  • Comfort jumping into light recruiting and talent work: sourcing candidates, coordinating processes, and refining role descriptions.
