Overview

Vertoe is a leading player in the distributed storage business with over 1,000+ locations in 50+ cities globally. We connect people and businesses who are looking to store their items safely with nearby residential, parking or commercial storage space (think Airbnb or Uber for storage). This can be anything from a neighbor’s basement, back of a local shop to a driveway for car storage. Our vision is to give our users instant storage space anywhere, anytime in a cloud storage kind of way but for physical things. We have been in the on-demand storage industry for 5 years and have raised money from leading investors like Rho Ventures, ff Venture Capital and Techstars.

Our requirement

We are looking for a driven, well-spoken and street-smart Field Sales Associate that can work effectively in a small team and expand the network of our locations in residential, commercial and parking real estate. We expect you to grow fast as we grow the company into massive scale over the next few years.

If you’re a hustler and know how to get things done in a quick and scrappy way, you could be a great fit!

Please note that this will be a full time time job where you will be executing on the field primarily. The role involves a lot of traveling and you should be comfortable doing so in the current environment of the pandemic. We will of course follow all social distancing guidelines as part of this effort.

As you will be meeting a lot of urban and suburban residential owners, a driver’s license is a must have.

Roles and responsibilities

Visit residential, commercial or parking leads to get them to sign up on our website as locations.
Comfortable traveling out of state and being out and about in the field (we will be following all social distancing guidelines)
Calling leads, comfortable cold calling & closing sales over the phone
Once a location is signed up, help train the hosts for receiving and handling bookings.
Research and plan for new locations that can be potential targets to be listed on the website.
Manage relationships with the hosts---take quarterly updates, address grievances, handle money transfers to/from hosts, etc.

Our ideal candidate has the following skills and qualifications:

Outgoing, self-starter and doesn’t hesitate to talk to new people
Great presentation skills among a variety of audiences
Previous Door to Door experience is a good to have
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Above-average computer skills with experience in MS Excel and Word
Ability to travel
Drivers License

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Total - $50,000 annually with $30K being the guaranteed base, $15K commission for on target earnings and $5K annual bonus for consistent good performance.
