Warby Parker is looking for a Senior Director of Creative Ops to oversee the production and operations of our Brand team, including the work of our in-house studio, the scheduling, tracking, and communication of all creative assets, and the production of photo and video assets to use across our various channels. In this highly cross-functional position, you'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, driving timely progress and delivery of all assets. You and your team will drive a range of brand-defining creative projects, helping to evolve Warby Parker's creative output every step of the way. What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the end-to-end creative ops and production process, aligning with our marketing goals and prioritizing timing and seamless flow for the Brand team
  • Drive partnership between the Brand Design team and cross-functional partners across the Brand, Product Strategy, and Finance teams on all things related to creative operations and photo/video shoots
  • Produce or oversee production, scheduling, retouching, and delivery of creative assets (by booking and coordinating photographers, stylists, models, hair stylists, makeup artists, and more)
  • Manage the Brand Design team budget and provide accurate estimates for all aspects of production (by tracking costs, submitting invoices, and preparing actuals) to ensure that we're utilizing our production dollars in the best way possible
  • Lead pre-production stages of photography, including research, casting, talent, locations, props, and more
  • Consistently source and cast diverse models that meet our brand standards and keep our library of approved talent updated by holding regular casting sessions
  • Negotiate rates, fee terms, usage, and contracts for all talent—plus additional usage fees for images, videos, and music
  • Lead, mentor, and guide direct reports across the Creative Ops Production team (including freelancers) and the in-house photo studio team
  • Assist other departments with photo needs, such as booking photographers for new store openings and Warby Parker events or producing videos for the Social Media team

Who you are:

  • Backed by 10+ years of photo/video production and creative ops experience in studio and on location—and have the portfolio to prove it!
  • Deeply familiar with marketing calendars and creative team workflow, with a knack for assessing what’s necessary to accomplish various types of projects
  • Equipped with strong agency relationships and knowledge about photographers, videographers, directors, models, illustrators, and artists, both up-and-coming and established
  • An excellent communicator, both in person and in writing, and a proactive problem-solver
  • A strong team manager, self manager, and leader of freelance partners who can organize workflows effectively—sometimes with minimal direction
  • Exceedingly able to operate both independently and in partnership with the team, establishing strong work relationships with co-workers and cross functional teams
  • Driven by a sense of urgency (you're always the first to follow up) and capable of balancing competing priorities
  • Passionate about executing superior creative work on time, on budget, and with consistently high standards
  • Well-versed in the best practices and trends in creative operations and production, and ready to use them based on your experience and intuition
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Warby Parker, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York at the time of posting. Warby Parker may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible to receive a cash bonus and an equity bonus as part of the total compensation package. Details and eligibility will be discussed during the application process.

$192,500$220,000 USD
