Warby Parker is seeking a Sales Audit Analyst to support our Treasury team. In this position, you’ll own complex financial processes to execute daily controls pertaining to the sales audit function. These responsibilities include the reconciliation for all tenders in retail and e-commerce channels, confirming the accuracy of POS transactions posting to the General Ledger, investigating overages and shortages, and communicating with internal partners to address timely anomalies. Key Responsibilities:
- Support monthly financial close procedures, year-end financial audits, and internal audits
- Serve as a primary resource for point of sale matters and sales reconciliation, verifying a three-way match between the company's systems, merchant services, and bank statements for the US, Canada, and PCs
- Monitor daily payment discrepancies and collaborate with internal and external business partners to correct errors timely by conducting in-depth reviews of variances, produce weekly reports to review with Loss Prevention and Retail Operations, and collaborate internally to enforce cash handling SOPs in stores
- Check and analyze credit card network costs and related payment processing fees and prepare accruals for month-end close
- Prepare monthly cash-to-revenue reconciliation reports, a calculation, and review of in-transit cash and credit card receipts, as well as daily journal entries related to managing sales deposits
- Assist in monitoring the chargeback process, provide reporting, and work closely with Customer Experience (CX) Ops to improve the company’s chargeback win rate in addition to ensuring PCI compliance with credit card requirements
- Coordinate requirements for new store openings—confirming that vault profiles, VRU pins, and CIT services are set up promptly and supporting Retail in optimizing the cash transport process
Who you are:
- Backed by 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to sales accounting and/or retail sales audit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- An ultra-organized deadline/priority follower/strong communicator
- A solution-oriented problem-solver and team player who shows initiative and embodies integrity
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
