About the role

The Real Estate Development Manager will be responsible for supporting all aspects of real estate development projects including planning, execution, timing, and budgets. Support the entire development team build and maintain sustainable processes that scale with our accelerated growth plans. Responsible for maintaining and improving current systems across the team (market planning, site sourcing, design, construction, procurement). You will work alongside acquisitions, entitlements, design, construction, engineering, and contracts teams to ensure sites are quickly moving through the development cycle.

Maintain and build reporting dashboards to ensure consistent schedule and cost information is being shared across the company. Build presentations and financial models as needed to show trends and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain development processes across all development functions

  • Manage development dashboards to ensure all information across platforms is accurate

  • Contribute to team and cross-functional goals with moderate supervision and direction building relationships in the process

  • Lead stakeholders through Design, Construction Cost exercises, and Value Engineering

  • Assist with execution of current development pipeline with properties in various stages

  • Oversee cost management reporting

  • Analyze market data and provide reports to help with forecasting and planning of future growth

  • Work closely with Finance, operations and other business partners to ensure projects meet current projections.

  • Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business / process improvement

The experience you have

  • 3-5 years’ experience in real estate development

  • Restaurant development a plus

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Smartsheet’s experience

  • Ability to think critically and prioritize competing priorities

  • Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to command a room

  • Role primarily will be based in New York City

Base Salary Range: $140,000-147,000
