About the role
Wonder is seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Real Estate Paralegal to support our growing real estate legal operations across leasing, construction, and facilities. This position will report to our AGC of real estate and will play a key role in coordinating and managing the legal and operational documentation critical to Wonder’s real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Portfolio Management
Draft, review, and manage retail and commercial leases, license agreements, lease amendments, SNDAs, estoppels, termination agreements, notices, commencement date certificates, other correspondence related to leases
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (legal, business, and facilities) and external service providers to ensure timely lease execution and compliance
Support diligence and document review for site acquisitions, relocations, and divestitures
Maintain digital lease files, trackers, and abstracts
Integrate AI platform to support legal research, document review, contract analysis, and other legal processes, and leverage the tool to enhance productivity and accuracy in legal work, including drafting, summarizing, and analyzing legal documents
Construction & Facilities Legal Support
Assist in preparation, review, and execution of contracts with general contractors, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendor, and consultants
Coordinate between leasing counsel and construction to facilitate compliance with lease obligations relating to construction, operations, and tenant improvements
Manage documentation for master service agreements, statements of work, consultant agreements, change orders, and purchase orders
Support legal review of design and construction issues, mechanic’s liens, delay claims, and vendor disputes
Maintain database for leases, construction agreements, zoning reports, title reports, surveys, condo declarations, and environmental studies
Maintain accurate databases of all real estate vendor contracts and associated documentation
The experience you have
Minimum 10 years of paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate teams, preferably in-house environments
Extensive experience in retail leasing and construction contract support
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, leasing, construction, development, and facilities teams in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them in a legal context.
Proven track record of managing high-volume, deadline-driven workstreams independently
Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate or equivalent training strongly preferred
Base Salary:
$168,000 per year.
Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
