About the role

As a Creative Strategy Manager at Tastemade, you’ll be a key architect of our brand partnership solutions—translating advertiser goals into compelling, cross-platform campaigns that blend content, media, talent, and commerce.

This role is ideal for a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of full-funnel marketing, paid and organic social, creator marketing, and performance media. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Social, Production, Talent, and Account Management teams to concept and package high-impact programs for enterprise and mid-market advertisers and their agencies.

You will own the strategic development of proactive pitches and RFP responses for the ad sales team. This role reports into the Head of Social and Branded Content, sitting within the larger Tastemade Ads team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling, scalable partnership strategies in response to RFPs and RFIs—clearly articulating the “why Tastemade” story and connecting brand goals to our editorial voice and the broader Wonder ecosystem including Grubhub, Blue Apron, and Wonder.

  • Work alongside sales leadership to develop proactive sales packages supporting Tastemade tentpoles and seasonal moments.

  • Design full-funnel, platform-specific distribution plans for custom and supplied creative—leveraging best practices, emerging trends, CTAs, and retargeting strategies to drive performance.

  • Surface actionable consumer and cultural insights through social listening tools, trend analysis, and platform behavior to inform campaign strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Social, Sales, Talent, Production, Account Management) to bring proposals to life—ensuring solutions are creative, strategic, and operationally sound.

  • Own proposal development from concept to deck—translating big ideas into visually compelling, tactically executable programs.

  • Serve as a client-facing creative lead—presenting ideas alongside sales to strengthen relationships and drive deal success.

  • Lead high-impact initiatives while mentoring junior teammates to raise the bar across strategy, creativity, and execution.

  • Manage our library of sales materials, keeping them up to date, and making sure that each respective team is working with the latest information/documents.

The experience you have

  • 8+ years of experience in integrated marketing, brand strategy, or related roles within a publisher, media company, or agency. Prior experience working within or closely alongside an ad sales organization is highly preferred, as is expertise collaborating with food and beverage brands.

  • Deep fluency in paid and organic social—understanding how content, media, and platform algorithms work together to drive performance

  • Proven ability to translate brand objectives into full-funnel creative strategies that span awareness to conversion

  • Strong grasp of creator marketing—experienced in leveraging talent to build credibility, engagement, and cultural relevance

  • Track record of crafting platform-native content campaigns that delivers across KPIs like reach, engagement, click-through, and add-to-cart

  • Strategic thinker with a sharp creative POV and a clear understanding of what makes content resonate on social, streaming, and commerce platforms

  • Comfortable leading client conversations and presenting ideas with confidence and clarity

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple proposals at a time, while leading a team of 3 strategists.

  • Strong deck building skills including graphic design and writing. Proficiency in Google Suite and Canva (Adobe Creative Suite a plus); portfolio submission required

The way you work

  • You’re a strategic storyteller who blends the creative instincts of a marketer with the analytical mindset of a strategist. You bring a sharp understanding of brand, audience, and platform—and you know how to connect all three in ways that perform.
  • You’re passionate about building advertising solutions that are as effective as they are inspiring, always with the audience in mind.

  • You’re deeply curious about the full media ecosystem—from pre-sale strategy to post-sale execution—and eager to drive impact at every stage.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are energized by solving complex challenges with clarity, creativity, and speed.

  • You lead with accountability, challenging yourself, your team, and your clients to deliver the best possible outcomes.

  • You reject “how it’s always been done” in favor of bold, unexpected solutions that move brands and businesses forward.

  • You forge strong, trusted client relationships and help brands unlock new potential by questioning the status quo and pushing for what's next.

  • You bring a player-coach mentality: equally confident owning a strategy solo or mentoring junior team members to elevate the work.

  • And above all, you care deeply about great storytelling—especially when it’s centered on food, culture, and community.
