About the Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Manager, Corporate Development to lead high-impact initiatives that drive the company’s long-term growth and value creation. In this role, you will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, owning the sourcing, evaluation and execution of mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and capital markets initiatives.

You will play a critical role in shaping corporate strategy, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities, and driving transactions from origination through execution and integration. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, financial rigor, and strong leadership, with the ability to influence executive decision-making and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Impact You Will Make

Corporate Strategy & Opportunity Development

  • Own the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of strategic growth opportunities, including market expansion, partnerships, and new business initiatives

  • Partner with senior leadership to shape corporate strategy and translate long-term objectives into actionable initiatives

  • Lead industry research, competitive intelligence, and market sizing to inform strategic direction and investment decisions

  • Develop and maintain long-range financial and strategic models to guide capital allocation and planning

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Lead end-to-end M&A execution, including sourcing, evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation support, and closing

  • Own development of investment theses, valuation frameworks, and business cases for potential transactions

  • Drive cross-functional due diligence efforts, coordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors

  • Support deal structuring and negotiations, acting as a key advisor to senior leadership throughout the transaction lifecycle

Financial Modeling & Strategic Insights

  • Build and oversee complex financial models (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, scenario analysis) to evaluate strategic opportunities

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board

  • Develop high-impact materials for executive and Board-level discussions

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations to drive strategic priorities

  • Drive alignment across senior stakeholders, ensuring efficient decision-making and execution of key initiatives

  • Oversee post-merger integration planning and execution, ensuring realization of deal value and strategic objectives

Performance & Value Creation

  • Own tracking and evaluation of investment performance and strategic initiatives against expected outcomes

  • Establish frameworks and metrics to measure ROI, synergies, and long-term value creation

  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, driving actions to optimize performance post-transaction

What You Bring to the Table

  • 8–12+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting, with a track record of increasing responsibility and ownership

  • Proven experience leading M&A transactions end-to-end, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and execution

  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis

  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into strategic insights that inform high-impact business decisions

  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and bias for action

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree

  • Experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO, or recently public environment, preferably in the restaurant industry

  • Experience leading post-merger integration and value creation initiatives

  • Familiarity with capital markets transaction

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

Base Salary: $149,000-$157,000 per year

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
