Corporate Strategy Director

The Director, Corporate Strategy is a critical member of Yahoo’s Corporate Strategy Team, reporting to the VP of Strategy. This team leads the strategy and key decisions across the Company’s portfolio of businesses as well as developing the strategy for and launching new ones.
Work closely with executives and business unit leaders to identify, evaluate, and accelerate strategies for growth
Lead development of insights and recommendations across media, consumer & tech-related industries, including understanding of competitive dynamics and strategic value of participation in certain markets, new business model evaluation and key drivers of performance
Accountable for managing and delivering on multiple initiatives in a highly dynamic environment, while calm under pressure
Lead analysis and management of project workstreams to support Yahoo’s corporate strategy, including new business development, corporate development (M&A), and other major corporate initiatives
High senior executive visibility; you will present your analyses and recommendations to leaders across the organization and partner with them on operational execution
Qualifications
10+ years experience, with 3+ in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or leading Consumer Technology company
Experience with data-driven analysis, such as market sizing and business plan development, that leads to decision execution
High intellectual curiosity, superior organizational, communication, presentation, structured thinking and analytical skills
Results-oriented mindset to drive end-to-end projects with complete, accurate and timely delivery of analyses and project objectives
A strong work ethic, and a proven ability to be a leader in cross-functional teams
You are resourceful, agile, and flexible – where there are no solutions, you create them; where you are strapped for resources, you find scrappy ways to get the job done
Ability to operate with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,890.00 - $306,705.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
