This is a hybrid in-office / remote flexible job located in our Mountain View, CA office.

We seek a skilled Sr Backend Software Engineer proficient in back-end development. In this role, you will develop and implement software solutions with a team of developers. You must have a strong understanding of back-end technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, and GraphQL. As a Sr Backend Software Engineer, you must also have excellent communication skills and collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement back-end services.

  • Work on Next Gen Platforms

  • Work with product managers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Mentor and train junior engineers.

  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in software development with an emphasis on back-end technologies.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Computer Science or Bachelor in Computer Science (or a related technical field).

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development.

  • Demonstrated industry experience building, scaling, and deploying high-traffic RESTful APIs.

  • Strong understanding of back-end technologies, such as Java, Python, SQL, and GraphQL.

  • Experience working with public cloud technologies.

  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

  • Development experience in a Linux/Unix environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Preferred: interest in/knowledge of financial markets and portfolios

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $266,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
