A Lot About You:
As the Sr Marketing Manager - CRM Newsletters you will be responsible for strategic decision-making and the successful management of CRM programs for our portfolio of global Newsletter products across multiple verticals, including News, Lifestyle, Sports, Finance, and more.
In this role you will focus on operational and marketing support for our Newsletters CRM Program by developing and executing strategies and tactics that impact subscription growth and user engagement. With a strong emphasis on CRM email and marketing automation, you will create orchestrated, content-based programs that reach users across multiple devices to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and win-back initiatives. You will be responsible for accelerating Yahoo's ambitious growth and revenue plans by building new, large-scale solutions for our newsletter business.
Responsibilities:
Create and optimize our process to support the editorial team in delivering best-in-class content
Partner with the Product, Editorial, Product Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Technology teams to deliver programs that align with our audience-led strategy for CRM
Develop engagement and customer communication strategies that continuously articulate and reinforce the Newsletter products’ value and purpose to grow the subscriber base, minimize churn, and increase customer lifetime value
Leverage research, insights, and campaign results to make data-driven decisions
Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly business reviews to key stakeholders
Manage the operationalization of new features such as personalization, dynamic content, and targeting
Monitor and analyze key email metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and deliverability, to identify areas of improvement and optimize newsletters performance
Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices, anti-spam regulations, and data privacy policies
Manage day-to-day email execution (segmentation, production, deployment) and developing reports that generate actionable insights
Lead and execute email marketing testing strategies and report on A/B and multivariate tests to drive engagement
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in the email/CRM/Marketing Automation industry
Experience with consumer/audience-based email and development of Lifecycle Marketing programs (Acquisition, Retention, and Attrition)
Working knowledge and experience with third-party email service providers and marketing automation platforms (Epsilon PCM, Adobe AJO, or Zeta ZMP a plus)
Deep expertise in email production and personalization platforms like Stensul and Movable Ink (or equivalent)
Ability to assess and recommend alternate Martech platforms to evolve our Newsletter’s production experience
Analytical expertise for data-driven decision-making
Comfortable developing and executing against a strategic agenda and measuring success against clearly defined outcomes.
A self-starter with demonstrated capability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Understanding of user-research and testing methodologies, and web analytics tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess superior organization, prioritization, and time management skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office
BA/BS degree in a related discipline preferred

The compensation for this position ranges from $105,750.00 - $220,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
