Sr Accountant, Revenue Share Accounting

The Revenue Share Sr Accountant will be part of the Global Revenue Share Accounting & Reporting team ensuring financial integrity and accurate recording of traffic acquisition cost (TAC), revenue share and other publisher-related liabilities across Yahoo products globally. Revenue Share team members are on the cutting edge of Yahoo technology supporting ad products and affiliate partner sites through reporting, analysis, calculations, process innovation and a drive for product expertise to support revenue growth.
The ideal candidate must have experience with financial data analysis, GL accounting and must be exceptionally skilled at complicated numeric calculations and research. This role requires the candidate to have excellent technical skills, experience with contracts and to be adept in strategic and analytical thinking with a firm emphasis on attention to detail.
Your Day
Ensuring 100% controllership integrity
Collaborate with Business Development and support new contracts for third-party partners
Read, interpret and extract contract economic terms to ensure proper accounting treatment and payment calculations
Calculate revenue share syndication costs and perform month-over-month comparisons ensuring financial terms are correctly set up in the financial systems
Own global aging files and calculations for variance flux analysis
Support month-end close process and procedures
Set up manual calculation spreadsheets for deals not supported by the systems
Complete GL account reconciliations and prepare Rev Share journal entries
Prepare month-end and quarter-end reporting for management teams
Assist Finance executives as required on ad hoc tasks and projects
Support external/internal audit and SOX compliance requests
Prepare/review month-end and quarter-end reporting for management teams

Required Education / Experience / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with prior public accounting experience preferred
CPA certification preferred
Demonstrated strong accounting skills and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting
Analytical and highly organized individual who displays initiative and can work independently
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge required including pivot table, vlookup, and other similar functions
Must be able to multitask and handle high volume in a fast paced environment
Must be a team player
Oracle Financials experience a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
