About the Role

Yahoo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to join our world-class marketing team. This role will play a critical part in positioning Yahoo's brand for continued relevance and growth, particularly focusing on Yahoo Finance. Reporting to the Head of Yahoo Finance Brand & Marketing, the candidate will be instrumental in driving brand and product marketing initiatives, fostering a consumer-centric marketing approach, and contributing to the overall strategy and execution of marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Campaign Execution and Content Creation:

    • Assist in leading and executing iconic brand campaigns to reintroduce Yahoo Finance to audiences and expand our reach.

    • Help create comprehensive 360 campaigns tailored for each vertical to drive awareness, adoption, and long-term engagement.

    • Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media, email, web, and traditional media) to ensure a cohesive brand message.

  • Support the Development and Implementation of Brand Positioning Strategies:

    • Develop and implement strategies and insights for the global Yahoo Finance brand to increase traffic and long-term brand equity.

    • Ensure consistent usage of Yahoo Finance positioning and messaging in all assets, collaborating with internal and external agencies to produce differentiated assets.

    • Work closely with the Customer Insights team to set research goals, analyze findings, and develop actionable strategies.

  • Evaluate Marketing Performance:

    • Analyze user needs, prioritize problems and interaction points using analytics, feedback, surveys, etc., to inform marketing strategies.

    • Regularly assess and report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for enhancements.

  • Monitor Market Trends and Industry Activity:

    • Collaborate in managing a marketing calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams for effective execution.

    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain Yahoo Finance's competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in brand and product marketing, with a track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.

  • Innovative mindset with experience in implementing creative marketing campaigns that yield measurable results.

  • Proficiency in both brand and digital marketing.

  • Proven ability to make data-informed decisions and use insights to guide marketing strategies.

  • Strong commitment to a customer-focused approach in marketing.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, capable of conveying complex strategies in a clear and persuasive manner.

  • Great teammate with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to exert influence.

  • Proven success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and highly competitive industry.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively lead multiple projects simultaneously.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
