Sr. Director, Commerce Media Specialist
Yahoo is expanding our Retail Media Network to Commerce Media, which allows both retailers and brand partners to reach audiences using a broad spectrum of media solutions. Leveraging Yahoo DSP, this is a growing opportunity which we are well-positioned to capture with our unique inventory, data, and ad tech for existing and new clients. Our expanded offerings will encompass onsite (web and app) advertising and offsite advertising (social and programmatic).
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sr. Director, Commerce Media Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our Commerce Media efforts. As a Sr. Director, Commerce Media Specialist, you are responsible for understanding and representing Commerce Media products, services, and solutions to clients. The position requires product knowledge, an understanding of industry trends, and ability to develop strategic plans with a high level of initiative, and collaborate with sellers to maximize sales and revenue from existing clients as well as new clients and prospects. In addition, you will be a subject matter expert and mentor to junior level specialists.
Specialists Key Responsibilities:
Establishing a strategic consultative process which engages new and existing clients regarding the promotion and marketing of Commerce Media services and solutions and capturing all revenue opportunities.
Building strong partnerships with both internal sales teams and existing and new clients by developing a deep understanding of client businesses and advertising initiatives.
Effectively communicate how best to promote Commerce Media products and services to best fit a client or prospective client's needs.
Staying current on industry/vertical trends, best practices, client relationship management and business development
Collaborating with the Sales team to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking/managing leads and opportunities to ensure consistent revenue growth.
Researching, tailoring, and teaching commercial insights to clients and internal teams and to create effective sales strategies and tactics.
Experience / Skills and Competencies:
7+ years of experience selling Retail/In-store Media and other digital solutions (IAB or any others) in the Programmatic Media space specially DOOH and audiences
5+ years of experience managing a high performing specialist/sales team
Requires conceptual thinking to understand issues and implications.
Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates leadership qualities.
Communication with clients and internal co-workers – all levels of management, business leadership, customers and other internal/external entities as required
Ability to make recommendations and bring out-of-box recommendations to clients and areas that support sales (ie: targeting, marketing and pricing)
Expert using data and insights as a solution selling tool.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
