About Yahoo Commerce

The Yahoo Commerce team’s mission is to help our audience of 600M monthly active users discover and make informed decisions about products and services so they can save time and money. We primarily serve audiences who are in their shopping journeys across all Yahoo properties. You take pride in your team members' career growth and development and you provide continuous clear feedback. You are able to write code from time to time, although that is not a day to day part of this role.

  • Work closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to drive outcomes

  • Responsible for the success of both engineering and product led initiatives

  • Scope, plan, design, and deliver technical solutions for complex problems

  • Prioritize work according to business goals

  • Accountable for the performance and results of the team

  • Engage, attract, and retain top talent

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years experience in software development

  • Experience architecting, writing and maintaining web or mobile applications and services

  • Familiarity with a variety of frameworks like ReactJS, NodeJS, Java Spring, etc

  • Knowledge of modern CI/CD systems and methodologies

  • Familiarity with popular cloud service providers and their offerings (AWS, GCP)

  • Understanding of large-scale web applications (clustering, scalability, caching, performance tuning)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
