About the role

As the Senior Manager, Client Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the end-user experience. Ensuring all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved. You will be responsible for maintenance of databases for data integrity and security for desktop systems. Develop information technology project plans and provide strategic management and objectives for the department. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

As a Senior Manager, Client Engineering, you will:

  • Work with your team to deliver on our roadmap using modern software development practices

  • Develop and implement a framework which ensures frequent updates to desktop images, mobile devices, VDI Infrastructure etc.

  • Understand IT Change Control processes related to activities originating from the Client Engineering team

  • Design technology solutions in a collaborative manner with related teams, ensuring redundancy, scalability and security etc.

  • Create and maintain a team dashboard that illustrates Key Performance Indicators which spans team performance, environmental performance and related financial performance

  • Craft and develop computing solutions that deliver high quality experience for end users

  • Develop a Quality Assurance program to ensure high quality output, which includes pilot groups etc.

  • Design and develop an experience that is relatively consistent between form factors (iPhone, iPad, Laptop, VDI, etc.)

  • Participate in budget planning, being able to articulate CapEx and OpEx spends annually

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations, business case documentation and memos to Senior IT and Business leaders

  • Identify areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations in these areas

  • Managing risk and uncertainty while moving forward with the business

  • Coordinate, lead, and direct the work of the employees in the assigned function

  • Mentor, develop and provide on-the-job training to subordinates to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $144,800.00 - $231,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Minimum ten years’ experience in IT, specifically in an enterprise environment and at least 3 years management experience

  • Knowledge of the service delivery and service support areas of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) with specific experience in Incident & Problem Management

  • Knowledge of various IT disciplines and the inter-relationships between them

  • Ability to express sophisticated technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

  • Ability to lead staff in an engaging environment maintaining workforce production and development in a Cloud HQ environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent required

  • Certified in ITIL foundations is desirable. Certificates in related areas such as Microsoft, Zoom, Slack is a plus
