About the role
As a Senior Technical Program Manager (or TPM), you will drive and lead product development-driven programs that span the Data Platform organization. You will work closely with leadership, teams, and stakeholders to define strategies, facilitate planning, and be responsible for the execution of key projects.
Our programs focus on end-to-end experiences for customers actively shopping, renting, touring, or financing their home, and industry-leading platforms and tooling for the real estate agents they partner with

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Align program goals with Zillow’s strategic objectives and make data-driven recommendations for adjustments.
Coordinate and drive initiatives, features, milestones, and release plans using the Product Development framework to ensure timely delivery and adoption across teams, including Product Management, Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, and Sales.
Create, manage, and refine program plans, assess and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and balance business needs versus technical constraints
Communicate effectively and with transparency to teams and stakeholders.
Engage leadership to find paths forward in difficult situations.
Facilitate strategic conversations on prioritization and trade-offs, as well as engineering architecture and product trade-offs.
Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, Design, and other TPMs.
Identify risks, highlight duplication, and anticipate bottlenecks.
Facilitate the rhythm of the business and key reviews for the product leader/business area you support
Help teams leverage shared tools and ways of working.
Contribute to the product development program team community processes while managing active projects, coaching teams on standards, product lifecycle, playbooks, doc repositories, etc
Who you are
7+ years of Product/Software Program Management experience, with experience delivering large cross-functional programs and highly integrated platform and data products.
Technical degree (computer science) or equivalent work experience with product and software development teams.
Familiarity partnering with Data Engineering/Data Science to develop data products, and platforms that support various business functions such as analytics, and/or improves data quality in systems used by sales and marketing teams
Consistent track record of leading cross-functional groups to deliver quality products on time.
Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Strong facilitation skills, including clear communication abilities.
Ability to connect detailed plans to higher-level strategies and bridge agile and waterfall methodologies.
Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence with an inclination towards applying AI to enhance your efficiency
Capable of crafting mutually beneficial solutions and implementing strategies in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to influence without direct authority and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
